Best foods that burn body fat

As you probably know, the less body fat you have, the more defined your muscles are going to look. This applies especially to your abs. You might have the most symmetrical abs in the world, but if there’s a lot of fat above them, you’ll never even know you had abs in the first place.

This post is about some of the best foods that can help you lose your fat. What most of these foods do, is increase your metabolism, which makes you burn fat and gain muscle quicker. This doesn’t mean that you can eat candy all day, and then lose weight just because you are also adding these foods to your diet. They are simply something that helps quicken the process of getting fit. When it comes to losing weight and building muscle, you might have heard that diet is the most important factor, and that is true.

Your goal should be to lose around 1-2 pounds(0.5-1 kg) a week. This of course is different if you are also lifting weights, since you will also be gaining muscle weight. In that case, your mirror is more reliable than the scale, and it’s helpful to do some before & after photos so you can see the change. Try to do the photos every week, and in the same spot and lightning, since different lightning affects how your body looks.

Like I mentioned, the main benefit of these foods will be increased metabolism, which will quicken the process of building muscle, and burning fat. The more muscle mass you have, the easier it is to lose weight, since your body burns more calories in order to maintain your current muscle.

Here is our list:

1. Coffee

Recommended up to around four cups a day (depending on the caffeine level that one cup contains). Try to drink one cup 1-2 hours before working out, and another one right after working out.

2. Green tea

Recommended 3-4 cups a day. Try to drink one cup every three hours.

3. Omega-3 fatty acids

Can be takes from fish or as a supplement.

4. High protein foods

Some of the best options are: boiled eggs, chicken breast, milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, peanut butter, lean beef, salmon, tuna, nuts, beans and legumes.

5. Fruits and veggies

Veggies especially are great, because you can eat a lot of them (which makes you feel full) since they are very low in calories.

6. Spicy foods

The best example are hot peppers.

This was our list of the foods that can aid you in losing weight. Of course, there is much more that can be added to the list. You should also remember to drink lots of water with these foods. The amount recommended is 8 glasses a day but it depends on lots of other factors. After exercise try to drink approximately 20 oz (600 ml) per pound of body weight.

I would advise you that if your motivation is low, don’t force yourself to eating foods you don’t enjoy. This because it can easily backfire and make you give up completely on trying to eat healthier. Simply start small.
